1500 persons. Starting in March 2008, Tampico
will have a Convention Center to carry out any
kind of Conferences, Conventions, Fairs and
Expos up to 8500 persons.

Metropolitan Cultural VENUE metro.tamaulipas.gob.mx
Located just .6 miles away from Tampico Historic Center and in terrains surrounded
by the “Laguna del Carpintero”, the Metropolitan Cultural Space
has been the venue of many important events, such as the “XXX World Congress
Quetzalcoatl 2004” from the UNESCO International Institute of Theatre,
Tamaulipas International Festival, “Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2006”, “Letas en el
Golfo” Festival among many others.
The modern facilities hace 27000 m2
of construction, in which there are the Metropolitan Theatre, the Temporal
Expositions Gallery, the Huasteca Culture Museum, the recently inaugurated
Library, also the lobby, educational service area, under cover parking lot,
esplanade up to 3500 people, coffee shop, restaurant and lounge bar.
The Metropolitan Theatre is equipped and configured according to international
specifications and technical requirements. Capacity that can hold up
to 1172 people, this venue considers operations areas, 18 dressing rooms,
conference room, stage machinery and stage that facilitate that to big
shows can take place the same day.
